Private Workshops, Events, and More at Element Design Co.

Posted by Kristin Kaleycik on

We have so enjoyed running workshops over the past two years and opening up our beautiful space in Easton to folks who are looking for a creative night out. One thing we have heard over and over again has been “I’d love to do this with my bridesmaids!” and “Oh, I have to bring my mom and aunt to the next one!”. We listened to those suggestions, and are so excited to let you know that now we are offering you the chance to host your own private event and workshops at Element Design Co! Whether a family affair, a bridal or baby shower, or just a fun night out with the besties, we can help you create your own dream workshop, just for you and your group!

Workshop Ideas

You may be wondering what sort of workshop you’d host, and we have to tell you– the sky's the limit! We have organized many of our own workshops and, while they all have featured pressed flowers, we are open to any of your ideas! Of course, we are also happy to help you gather inspiration, and you can always reach out to us to talk through ideas!

We have offered some incredibly fun workshops in the past, including various styles of a 10x10 frame. This size is perfect for a night out– the designs pack a punch, take just long enough to have a grand time, and are easy to take home. We offer an abstract design style, our traditional burst, and the fieldstyle. You can choose between the styles, or do a mix. Our instructor will give you tips on how to arrange your pressed flowers and on gluing them without disturbing your design. You can choose between a glass backing or an archival white backing. You can also choose the perfect frame to represent your group with a selection of black, white, and natural frames.

You don’t have to just choose to do a frame, either! You could also create bookmarks, modge podge flowers onto pumpkins, or bring photos to create a mixed media floral collage! We will provide all the basic materials such as glue and glue guns, tweezers, backing boards, and, of course, pressed flowers.

How It Works

We are offering a 3-hour block of time to mingle and create a beautiful pressed flower design in our space! The entirety of our space is available after business hours or on the weekends and is centrally located in the West Ward area of Easton. You can choose between working in our main space, where the huge windows and vaulted ceilings inspire our own designers every day, which features a large work table and kitchen space. You could also choose the more intimate “923” area, which is a cafe style space with small tables and chairs. You could split your time between the spaces, using one for your workshop and one for gift giving, eating, and mingling.

You will have access to the space 30 minutes before your event starts to set up, with a total 3-hour timeframe. You will be able to have 1.5 hours of designated instructor time with one of our talented team members. The remaining hour is for you to use for activities and gift giving. Please note, we can comfortably fit up to 15 people in our space. Private events and workshops will be BYOB (and snacks!), and with our large kitchen island right next to our beautiful work table any treats will be easy to set up.
