Element Design Co has been booked and busy this season! Along with all of the preserving, pressing, designing, and chatting with clients that is always happening behind the scenes here, we’ve had the opportunity to both host and attend a few different events. And, of course, the month of March was spent moving into our new home in Easton Pennsylvania’s West Ward neighborhood. Not only that, but we had some internal team events, as well as a lot of outings! Here is a quick look at some of the things we were up to, and stay tuned for peeks at upcoming events!

The Ribbon Cutting

Element Design Co has been lucky enough to be able to not only rebrand ourselves and broaden our offerings, but we also found the perfect new home. Our new space is tailored to enhancing the creative spirit of our team, as well as giving our clients a lovely, comfortable space where they can talk with our team about their preservation pieces

To celebrate all of the hard work that went into the changes we’ve made, as well as give our new neighbors in Easton the chance to have a look inside and get to know us, we hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony. Members of the East Chamber of Commerce attended, along with some of our team members, friends and family, and a few of our beloved partner vendors

A lovely time was had by all, and the peak of the evening was watching our CEO, Amelia, hold her son while cutting the ribbon in front of our gorgeously appointed showroom. Prior to the ceremonial portion, speeches were given by Amelia, who was also presented with several certificates of achievement. We love to see it! What a great way to welcome this upcoming Easton era!

The Move

Speaking of our Easton Era, we moved this month! We are executing the move in two phases, and the preservation and client relations teams began working at 915 Northampton St right at the beginning of March. The design team stayed behind to put out as many frame and resin pieces as possible, to limit the amount of things to take over to the new space.

The whole team was together again in the first days of April, and all were excited to be able to settle into our new digs– and sample the many delicious local restaurants nearby!

Team Collage Party

We love our team, and our Party Planning Committee makes sure that each month we celebrate them with an internal event. In mid March, the Committee set up a collaging party, where all of the team came together over the course of a couple of days to create two collages that represent who we are. Our design team gets to spend every day arranging pieces of art, and other team members were excited to be able to stretch their own creative muscles. We made these communal collages as a way to have a piece of our team right up on the walls of our new space. We will place them where they can be seen by the folks that made it as they walk flowers through our halls, take their breaks, and work together in the community we’ve created amongst ourselves.

Oaks Home Show

Two workers from Element teaching a class to create a pressed flower frame at the Philly Oak Home Show.

We were so excited to be invited to this year’s Oaks Home and Garden Show in Philadelphia. The Home and Garden Show allows landscaping companies, interior designers, and other related businesses to showcase what they can do for their clients. We were invited to show what one can do with flowers and greens when they want to keep them forever! We were invited by the organizers to host a workshop, where Creative Manager Jenni led a class through the process of creating a 10x10 frame. We are always so impressed with what everyone makes at all of our workshops, and this event was no different! Amelia and Jenni had a great time watching designs come to life, and we're so grateful to get to host one at an already fun event!

Pop Up at Orangetheory

This March, we were able to host our own pop up event at Orangetheory in Allentown, a fitness center that provides workouts that work! As folks went into the space, they were greeted by Nikole, who was able to share what we do at Element Design Co. with them. We love doing pop ups, because we get to meet so many different people, a lot of whom are new to the idea of floral preservation. We also had displays of some examples of our designs, like frames and resin trays so people could really get a sense of the amount of detail put into every piece. Nikole had a blast chatting with folks, and introducing them to what we do by showing off some of our incredible pieces.

Black & White Party

Every year, the Philadelphia branch of the Modern Luxury Weddings magazine hosts an elegant Black and White party for the vendors they feature. Last year, Element attended as guests and had a wonderful time. This year, however, we were presented with the opportunity to create items completely custom to the party to be used throughout the evening. We made a pressed flower tray with resin and a black background (which reminds us of our new colored background frames!), resin drink charms with the daintiest flowers, and a pressed flower frame that was on display. We loved seeing things created by our team in action, and it gave us plenty of ideas for products we may just add to our regular repertoire. Aside from getting to see pressed blooms all around the room, being able to meet other vendors from the local wedding industry was so fun!

We loved each and every one of the amazing events we were able to participate in, host, and attend! We are so excited for our summer calendar, which will feature even more workshops, festivals, and bridal events! We will share as much as we can soon about our exciting summer and all that is to come!
