Unique Flowers We Can Press

Unique Flowers We Can Press

Posted by Skye Radwan on

Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hold your dream bouquet. You may choose statement flowers such as protea or sunflowers, or add special little details such as hypericum berries or bunny tails to make your bouquet stand out!

These blooms are what makes your bouquet meaningful, sentimental, and beautiful on the best day of your life - and there’s no reason to let them go. And you don’t have to! They can be preserved into a memorable keepsake to cherish for years to come.

Here’s our top unique flowers we can press and preserve for custom pressed bouquet frame or floral resin preservation:

1. Protea

Protea is a beautiful and bold choice for any bouquet! For this bloom, our pressers carefully piece it apart, and our designers then reassemble it for a beautiful addition to your pressed bouquet frame or resin preservation.

2. Hypericum Berries

We often get asked if hypericum berries are pressable - and the answer is yes! Hypericum berries make a sweet addition to your bouquet, and they add stunning detail to your preservation. Check out how lovely they look sprinkled throughout this resin serving tray!

3. Bleached Greens

We love the textural elements bleached greens add to your floral arrangements. They add depth, dimension, and visual interest to your pressed pieces as well!

4. Orchids

Orchids are extremely delicate - both fresh and pressed. Our pressers and designers handle them with utmost care when working with your bouquet, and the results show! Orchids’ beautiful, delicate nature truly creates a standout piece.

5. Sunflowers

Sunflowers are the most popular bloom we see in late-summer and fall wedding bouquets - and with good reason! Sunnies are a statement flower that steal the show in any bouquet, both fresh and pressed. Like protea, sunflowers are disassembled petal by petal when being pressed and are then reassembled during the design process.

6. Dried Elements (Palms, Pampas, Bunny Tails)

Pampas, dried palm leaves, and bunny tails (and even wheat stalks!) all add playful, textural elements to any bridal bouquet! Many couples think that dried elements cannot be pressed, but it’s quite the opposite. In fact, most dried elements can in fact, be pressed! If you’re ever not sure, just ask us! Our team always tries our best to accommodate your wishes for your bouquet preservation.

7. Succulents

Succulents add a bold statement to any floral arrangement! While many may assume that they can’t be pressed because of their water content, our expert preservationists have proven the opposite. Through time, patience, precision, and care, succulents can be preserved into any pressed frame or resin keepsake!

8. Thistle

Thistles are the perfect “something blue” for your bridal bouquet! It may seem like there’s no way these spiky little blooms can press flat - but they can! Thistles add the perfect textural detail to your pressed bouquet frame or resin preservation

Have a unique bloom in your wedding bouquet that wasn’t included in the list? Reach out to us, and we’ll let you know if we can press it or not. Some common flowers we can’t press include: pine cones, viburnum berries (mini blueberries), fresh berries, and other fresh fruits.

Breathe new life into your once-in-a-lifetime florals by transforming them into a timeless keepsake!
