We at Element Design Co are a team of people obsessed with color. From the varying shades of fresh and pressed flowers, to our colored backing boards, to our frames, we love seeing how different hues can completely change the feel of a pressed flower artwork. If you’re just as into the world of color as we are, you may know that each year Pantone releases the color of the year. We are so excited about this year’s pick- PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse. This warm shade of gentle, chocolate brown is absolutely stunning, and just so happens to match up well with a secret we’ve been keeping…

We are very excited to be introducing a brand new frame color for 2025! Soon, we will be offering our clients the beautiful Walnut frame. This frame, much like Pantone’s Mocha Mousse, is a warm, rich, and inviting shade of brown, and we can’t wait to see what your flowers look like within it! This frame will be available in 16x20, 10x10, and 6x6 sizes, perfect for all of your preservation needs.
The Walnut frame may be just the thing if you love the wood look, but want something richer than our Natural frames, or something more uniform in shades than our popular Barnwood. The Walnut fits in with many decor styles, and would be at home on a wall with various other frame styles (we think it would look stunning next to gold or brass!).The Walnut frame is the perfect level of rich and warm, but still neutral enough to pair with what you may already have in your home. Plus, browns are IN this year, as Pantone confirmed for us!

Loving the Walnut so far? Wondering which pressed flowers would look great within it (other than all of them)? We’ve thought a lot about what we’re excited to see going into these frames in the months to come, and have compiled some of our ideas here for your inspiration. We think that fall flowers will really steal the show in the Walnut frames– amaranthus, lotus pods, cafe au lait dahlias, and toffee roses are all florals with brown tones within them both when fresh and when pressed, and would match up well to the rich shade of the frame. Looking for more contrast? White flowers, such as orchids and roses, will become a creamy shade during the preservation, perfectly pairing with the mocha of the frame.

Element Preservation is committed to providing our clients with quality options for whatever flowers they want to hold on to. We hope you love the Walnut frame as much as we do, and that it happens to be the perfect frame for your home. When you choose to preserve your flowers through Element Design Co, you can be assured that we have put a great deal of care into every part of the process, including what we choose to offer.
